  1. What needs /kinds of needs does the advertising industry (through commercials and Ads in various forms such as Abercrombie & Fitch music video) try to convince young men to have? Answer in at least 3 complete sentences.
  2. Is the advertisement as you saw it today calling attention to the brand of clothing or is it manufacturing a product? Is there difference between the two? (The teacher may opt to show an example of a commercial that call attention to the product such as Levis Ad in the 80’s and compare it with present day print ads for Calvin Klein, Abercrombie & Fitch) How might the latter affect young people’s perception of themselves and their needs, and what does the advertising industry propose to address/meet those needs? Answer in at least 3 complete sentences.
  3. Can the consumption of material goods meet the needs of man? Why do you say so? Answer in at least 3 complete sentences.
